Vermeer Flapper 16

In case you’ve been living under a rock in Los Angeles, you’ve probably noticed a resurgence in the past few years of  bars and restaurants  with a swanky/speakeasy/20’s , 30’s/ feel.  I love them all.  However, this new place, The Next Door Lounge has a special place in my heart.  Located in Hollywood, it provides nothing less than a ‘vintage’ experience. Starting with the gentleman standing out front, dressed to the nines: suit, vest, tie, whites gloves, bowler hat  and all.  Oh so classy.

The menu? Tasty……The drinks? Inventive…… The ambiance?  Cool, Spacious, Dark (but not too dark).  Classic movies play on a large screen & the music stays in the background, which means you can actually have a conversation without yelling.

I hear the happy hour (5pm-8pm) is quite fabulous.  Oh, and you must try the spaghetti pretzels. Addictive.

I will be back.
