Outside of having shot with sushi or Korean BBQ, I rarely partake in sake, but  I really love this drink. The flavored green tea & lime flavored ice cubes add a refreshing and crisp note, while the ginger ale gives a slight sweetness.

Green Tea and Sake cocktail ingredients

SAKE WITH GREEN TEA FLAVORED ICE CUBES

1 green tea bag (or tablespoon of loose green tea)

1 lime

1/4 cup ginger ale

3-4 tablespoons of simple syrup

3 tablespoons of water

1 regular ice tray

3-4 oz Gekkeikan Sake (or your favorite)

Directions:

Brew about 1 1/2 cups of green tea. Add simple syrup and water to green tea. Squeeze 2 teaspoons juice from lime. Add lime juice and pieces of lime peel (roughly half of the lime) to green tea mixture.  Pour into ice tray. Freeze for 3-4 hours.

Pour sake into any glass.  Add ginger ale. Top with 3-4 ice cubes. Cut a slice of lime to garnish. Sip and enjoy!
